Kerley signed a three-year, $10.5 million contract extension with the 49ers on Saturday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kerley appeared in all 16 games for the 49ers during the 2016 season after coming over from the Jets, finishing his campaign with 64 receptions for 667 yards and three touchdowns on 115 targets. He was also involved in kick and punt return duties, while serving as the No. 2 option at receiver behind Torrey Smith. Kerley expects to play a similar role in 2017, although there remains some uncertainty as to who will be the starting quarterback in San Francisco.
