The Seahawks signed Mannion to their practice squad Wednesday, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.

Mannion spent training camp with Minnesota but was let go after the team traded for Nick Mullens. Mannion, a 2015 third-round pick, has been a serviceable backup during his career, appearing in 14 games across six seasons (split between the Rams and Vikings). However, he'll serve as an emergency option on Seattle's practice squad in case something happens to Geno Smith or Drew Lock.
