Johnson (groin) returned to practice Tuesday, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson is practicing for the first time since suffering a groin injury in Week 13. His return would be a welcome development for the San Diego offense, as the unit has relied on inexperienced wideouts -- namely Dontrelle Inman and Javontee Herndon -- alongside Malcom Floyd the past couple weeks. Johnson will probably be the favorite to lead his team in targets if he's able to return for Thursday's favorable matchup in Oakland. However, the short week could make it tough for him to be ready, perhaps delaying a return until the regular-season finale.
