Jets coach Rex Ryan believes Kyle Wilson has rebounded from a rough rookie year to emerge as the NFL's best nickel back this season.
"He's playing unbelievable for us and it's only going to get better," added Darrelle Revis. "He wants it. He wants to be great and he's on the way." Pro Football Focus has rated Wilson as the No. 49 NFL cornerback this year after he graded out 54th last season. If the Jets are so confident in Wilson, perhaps they'll leave him in the slot to cover Wes Welker this week.
Revis is going to shut down Ocho Cinco..... Oh wait... He was shut down when he went to an offense that is too complex for his weak mind to pick up. It would probably be a good idea for Revis to cover one of those TEs that save Brady's a$s every game.
Why is it that every player, that plays for Rex Ryan's defense, is the NFL's best? They are going to win the Super Bowl too this season, and every other season for that matter, according to Rex. I know the power of positive thinking is one thing, but this guy is taking delusional to a whole new level. He makes himself look and sound like a clown with every new "NFL's best" statement. I guess Sione Pouha is the NFL's best nose tackle, and Mike DeVito is the NFL's best 3 - 4 defensive end as well? Who else on your team is the NFL's best Rex?
I agree with u on Rex, but not revis, I think he's too small to cover those big tight ends. I could see cromartie covering gronkowski. I'm sure they'll mix it up & try different things & revis could end up covering one or both of them at some point
Oh yeah, no doubt. I don't think Revis will be on anyone 100% of the time, like he is when one of the great outside WRs is on the field. Revis very rarely covers the guy in the slot, so he probably won't be on Welker much. Welker is the only thing that even resembles a great WR on the Patriots. I think Revis will pretty much be covering the best WR/TE that lines up outside, regardless of who it is.
