Inman was not targeted in Sunday's preseason game against the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
Although he didn't get a target, Inman actually played more snaps than Travis Benjamin while Philip Rivers was in the game, holding an 11-7 advantage, according to Pro Football Focus. This may just be an anomaly, as Benjamin is believed to be the No. 2 wideout, with Inman, Tyrell Williams, James Jones and Javontee Herndon battling to fill out the depth chart. Inman does remain a clear favorite for No. 3 job, after filling in capably for an injury-plagued Chargers squad last season.
