Head coach Jay Gruden said at the recent NFL owners meetings that Paul (ankle) may not be healthy until training camp, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Paul dislocated his left ankle during the 2015 preseason, ending his fifth campaign before it could commence. Gruden relayed that Paul must build up strength in the ankle while simultaneously regaining the weight lost over he course of rehabilitation, which could hold the tight end out of the entire offseason program. If he's a part of the 53-man roster out of training camp, he'll play second or third fiddle, at best, to starting TE Jordan Reed.
