Head coach Dan Quinn doesn't think Tamme (shoulder) will be sidelined long term, but Quinn did acknowledge that the veteran tight end may miss Thursday's game against the Buccaneers, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tamme came out of the gates fast in Sunday's game against the Packers, securing two passes for 19 yards prior to exiting with a shoulder injury on the opening drive. Initially deemed questionable to return, Tamme never made it back into the contest, leaving Austin Hooper and Levine Toilolo to soak up all the reps at tight end. The short week hurts Tamme's chance to avoid any missed time, potentially setting Hooper up for short-term fantasy relevance. The rookie caught each of his five targets for 41 yards in Sunday's game, whereas Toilolo failed to secure his lone look.
