Hasselbeck has been diagnosed with a sore/stiff neck and a mild rib separation following Sunday's defeat at Pittsburgh, Mike Chappell of CBS 4 Indianapolis reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hasselbeck was hammered by a relentless Steelers pass rush in Week 13, sustaining two sacks and numerous other quarterback hits. After a battery of tests, including an MRI, the Colts have revealed the extent of his ailments, but head coach Chuck Pagano still expects Hasselbeck to be on the practice field Wednesday. If he emerges from the week of prep unscathed, Pagano expects the graybeard quarterback to be under center Sunday this in Jacksonville. However, the contingency plan would be a spot start for Charlie Whitehurst.
