Gordon had two catches on seven targets for 15 yards in Sunday's loss to the Colts.
Gordon was tied with Andrew Hawkins for the team lead in targets, but was unable to make an impact from a fantasy standpoint. He even let a Brian Hoyer deep ball fall through his hands on the Browns' final drive of the game, which would have put his team in field goal range. With Vontae Davis (concussIon) out for the contest, many thought that Gordon would be poised for a big game, but this clearly did not come to fruition. The wideout will look to bounce back in Week 15 against the Bengals, the team that has allowed the lowest number of passing touchdowns in the league (11) entering Sunday's action.
Hold JGO for the Finals - If you can make it that far - Nice week 15 matchup vs the Panthers and Manziel will have a week under his belt. But no doubt - sitting him this week vs the Cincy
I am not giving up on Gordon. The qb play has pretty much been subpar since he has returned! 2 out of 3 solid games isn't bad! Wouldn't bench Calvin or Jordy for 1 bad game.
So, does Johnny Football find a way to get it to Gordon? Luckily I had Josh on the bench last week, but I may need to put him in this week. Scary thought, but if Julio is limited or can't go, Josh is the next man up for me. Thoughts?
Gordon posted just under 200 yards and a score in 2 games against the Bengals last year! I know a lot had changed since then but those games always have the potential to be shootouts! You can always pick up Harry Douglas as an insurance policy for Jones but I think Gordon goes off for 130 and 2 scores! That's just my opinion though!

Anderson threw for 230 and 2 TDs that week, against the same TB team they're playing this week. Benjamin caught one of those TDs. At least with Anderson you don't have the running threat. You know he's gonna pass. Bottom line - JohnnyF is an unknown. Anderson will be solid, if not spectacular.
If you need a sure thing, go Edleman. If you can take a bit of risk based on the rest of your lineup, I'd go Gordon. Way more upside. Edleman will consistently get you 40-60 yds. Maybe a score. Gordon on the other hand is always one play away from an 80 yard score. I don't think he wants to follow up last week with another stinker, and I think JohnnyF will find him.
I say if you feel good about the rest of your team and you just need someone who will put up average numbers, sit Gordon if you have any half-way decent alternatives and see what Johnny football is going to look like. If, however, you are in a situation like me (I am playing the #1 seed who won our regular season by 3 games and far outscored me) and you feel your only chance to win is for your guys to put up some really big numbers, then I say roll the dice on Gordon because there's always the chance he goes off and puts up a huge score.
Rookies always lean on the stud receiver (reference: Matthew Stafford, who has been jamming the ball in to Calvin since his first game). I've got Hopkins as a pretty good #2, but he'll probably see about 1/3 of the targets that Gordon will see. In this case, it's quantity (of targets) over quality.

I feel like I bench this guy and he goes off, I lose. I start him and he sucks, I lose.
jwbesseyTue 12/9/14 9:41 PM
xninja guess your only way of winning is to play him and hope Johnny football wants to show off his arm more than his legs.
jwbesseyTue 12/9/14 9:44 PM
I am hesitant playing him because there must be some reason Hoyer stayed in so long and it wasn't his running ability.

Gordon or Green? Green is usually held in check by Joe Haden...
