Gordon (abdomen) returned to practice Saturday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Limited throughout most of the week by an abdominal injury, Gordon was back in pads Saturday morning and still has a chance to play in Monday's preseason game against the Redskins, according to coach Mike Pettine. Gordon suffered the injury in the Browns' first exhibition contest last weekend, but the team has said from the get-go that it's just a minor issue. Of more importance for prospective owners is the ruling on Gordon's suspension appeal, which could come down by the end of next week.

Some say the longer it goes the more likely it is he will not miss the entire year. Not sure about all that but, they'll have a stronger appeal that way.

Entire year or nothing at all.

Yep it's same situation as Sherman(Gordon even hired the same lawyer), either he wins his appeal and no suspension at all or he loses and gets the year off

He should get a year just for stupidity. Who on earth risks their well paying career for a joint? Geez!

If the reports are to be believed at all, the circumstance under Gordon's positive on his tests are sketchy. I'm hoping that the public scrutiny and criticism of the handling of Ray Rice's situation (and pretty much scotch free outcome) will be enough to persuade Goodell to let my late round pick in this year's draft be worth fantasy gold.
