The Eagles have reached out to Freeman, who also has interest from the Seahawks and Jets, ESPN.com's Tim McManus reports.
EDGE Analysis
NFL Network's Michael Silver reports the Seahawks have offered Freeman a one-year, $4 million contract, though it isn't clear how the deal breaks down in terms of guarantees and incentives. Meanwhile the Eagles are considering Freeman, Carlos Hyde and LeSean McCoy, hoping to add a veteran to join Miles Sanders and Boston Scott in the backfield. The 28-year-old Freeman was cut by Atlanta in mid-March.
i think the 4 mil a year was a good offer AND he would have been on a contender making his value go up. he must have drank too much kool-aid in Atlanta. how many times have we seen a solid player chase the money and land on a garbage team, just to see their value and relevancy plummet.

NFL Network's Mike Silver reports free agent Devonta Freeman is willing to skip the 2020 season if he does not get the contract he is looking for.
that is career ending talk from a guy who is on the back end of his career.

see if you can find a job out there for what Seahawks were willing to pay you, and then think where your going to be next year............

Agree. The RB market is such that vets can no longer set their price. Freeman sitting out essentially ends his career.

And why would the eagles sign him unless he came at a discounted price? Makes no sense.
