Ellison (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ellison is making tangible progress through the league's five-step concussion protocol after sitting out the Giants' past four games. If he's able to pass the final step of the protocol -- gaining clearance from an independent neurologist -- in advance of Sunday's game versus Washington, he could be a candidate to start at tight end after Evan Engram (foot) was moved to injured reserve this week. Rookie Kaden Smith has been serving as the Giants' top tight end while both Engram and Ellison have been sidelined since the Giants' Week 11 bye.
