Falcons waived LB Thomas Howard. The move clears a roster spot for Sean Weatherspoon, who came off injured reserve/designated to return on Tuesday. Howard had been active twice since being signed on October 22, but was held off the stat-sheet. The veteran 'backer has appeared in only three games since the start of the 2012 season.
