However, with top receiver Michael Thomas (ankle) set to miss the first six weeks of the season while both Adam Trautman (ankle) and Nick Vannett (knee) bounce back from minor injuries, Johnson could have a chance to show what he can do in an expanded role as soon as Week 1.
