Rourke was looking to parlay a standout season with the CFL's BC Lions into an NFL career. He was competing against C.J. Beathard for the backup role under center behind Trevor Lawrence but ultimately came up short. He will now be a candidate to land on Jacksonville's practice squad should he choose to go that route.
