Green Bay waived Mitchell (quadriceps) from its injured reserve list with an injury settlement Monday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.

Unless Mitchell is claimed during the current waiver period, he'll become an unrestricted free agent. The USFL standout never really got a chance to stick with the Packers after suffering a quadriceps injury shortly after padded practices began back in August, and he'll now have to look for another opportunity elsewhere.
