Diggs (ankle) did not receive the franchise tag from the Seahawks and will be a free agent when the new league year begins March 16, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Diggs suffered a broken fibula and dislocated ankle in the fourth quarter of Week 18 against the Cardinals, but he is expected to be ready for training camp. The 29-year-old and two-time Pro Bowl selection finished his 2021 campaign with a career-high 94 tackles (66 solo), seven passes defensed and five interceptions. Despite coming off of major surgery, Diggs should be one of the top safeties on the free agent market.
