Dobson signed a contract with the Lions on Tuesday, Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reports.

Dobson worked out for five teams since being cut by the Patriots at the end of the preseason, but has finally landed a roster spot in Detroit. The Lions were thin at wideout with both Corey Fuller (foot) on the PUP list and Ryan Spadola (pectoral) on IR. The 25-year-old Dobson gives the Lions much needed depth at wideout and could figure to contribute in special teams as well.
