Davone Bess did not require surgery for his second-degree MCL tear and partially torn ACL suffered in the season finale. "Luckily, the ligaments were in the right place where they could heal by themselves," said Bess, "so I didn't have to have any surgery." The injury was more serious than injury reported, but Bess was already healthy and practicing on Tuesday. This should be a non-issue going forward.
