Davis has been reinstated by the NFL and is eligible to sign with any team, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Davis racked up over 2,000 receiving yards during a six-year span with the Redskins, but much of that time was plagued by off-the-field issues. Whether it be missing meetings or substance abuse policy violations, his name was always coming up for the wrong reasons. His most recent indefinite suspension resulted from a February 2014 driving under the influence charge, but the league has determined he's served his time, and will now be a free agent. At 29 years old, it's difficult to determine how productive the 6-foot-3 tight end will be after signing, as it's likely dependent on the situation he finds himself in.
the guy was a beast for all of one year. last i heard, DC police had a warrant out for his arrest. i guess now that that's resolved he can go back to work at the local mini-mart.
He was a waiver wire wonder for several years, thought at some point he might string an entire season together but you know what they say........lazy, it's a hell of a drug.
