Cruz is dealing with tightness in his groin and missed some practice time this week, so his inactive status for Friday's first exhibition tilt isn't unexpected. Still, for someone that hasn't played in so long, Cruz could certainly use some live game action ahead of the regular season. So while Cruz will miss Friday's opener due to another injury, his progress in the coming week will be worthwhile to track in hopes he can play next Saturday against the Bills.
