The Falcons released Mingo on Saturday, ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Atlanta cut the 30-year-old Mingo loose just hours after learning about his arrest Thursday in Arlington, Texas on a second-degree felony charge of indecency with a child-sexual contact. Mingo was released Friday from Tarrant County Jail on $25,000 bond, but after gathering more information about the allegations involving the veteran edge rusher, Atlanta elected to terminate his one-year deal. Mingo, a 2013 first-round pick of the Browns, spent the past season with the Bears and recorded 35 tackles and 2.5 sacks across 16 games.

Even if some of you guys argue that he may be not guilty you are responsible for your actions and perceived actions. Grow up and do right and do not put yourself in questionable situations! Common sense usually is real easy to do!

I sincerely hope that (HE) has to knock on ALL his neighbors’ doors for the rest of his life! In fact, I am a strong proponent for testicle removal for ALL of those who touch ANY child in a sexual way. Snip Snip perverts

He may or may not be guilty. It would not be the first time someone was accused of something that never happened. But let's assume he was indeed involved with some form of consentual contact with an underaged girl, as a 30 year old man, he should have known better than to assume she was of age. But again, he may have done nothing more than hold the door open for a girl, let's find out.

Either way, he is now blacklisted in the NFL.

All of these so-called, high profile individuals should be treated equally. And they are NOT treated equally! GUILTY first, now prove your innocence! Does this philosophy and form of (justice) sound familiar? It’s all well and good when it isn’t you. Innocent until proven guilty? What a hypocritical cry that turned out to be.

Agreed. Everyone rushes to judgement before facts are made public based on a headline and countless false flags being pushed to stir anger and resentment. In this case, a man's career has been ruined and the masses don't care because he made "millions" by putting his body on the line for our entertainment.

If he is proven guilty, so be it. Justice will be served. But if proven innocent, he can never recover the time lost in what's left of his NFL career.
