Coach Pete Carroll said the Seahawks waived new Jets WR Braylon Edwards because they believed "he had a three-week injury or so."
"It would be a while for him to get back and we weren't sure if he would make it back," Carroll said. The Jets refused comment on Carroll's disclosure, but it certainly sounds like Edwards may not be ready to go for Week 15. If that's the case, it would make Edwards' acquisition quite bizarre. The Jets were the only club to place a claim on the fading 29-year-old deep threat.
