Coach Mike McCarthy thinks second-year DL Josh Boyd is capable of taking a "huge step" in 2014. "I think Josh definitely has the flexibility," McCarthy said. "He's shown he can play the nose. He needs to take a huge step, and I think he'll be one of those players that does in his second year." Boyd, the 167th pick last April, played just 114 defensive snaps as a rookie. But with free agents B.J. Raji and Ryan Pickett expected to move on, Boyd and Datone Jones will take on increased roles.
