Coach Bill Belichick noted Monday that Dobson "had a good spring and a good few days here at training camp," CSN New England reports.

As Belichick added, "we've seen that from him before," but to date, overall Dobson has been hindered by the fact that he hasn't been able to stay on the field consistently. Now in his forth season with the Patriots, it's make-or-break time for the 2013 second-rounder. With Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Chris Hogan and third-round pick Malcolm Mitchel considered roster locks as long as they are healthy, Dobson could well be in in competition with Keshawn Martin, Nate Washington, Chris Harper, DeAndre Carter and Devin Lucien for one wideout roster spot.
