Clemens completed 14 of 21 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns in Friday night's exhibition loss at Seattle. The Bolts did not play many of their regulars for long in this game, but the solid performance by Clemens is notable because it appears that he will serve as a solid backup option to Philip Rivers this year and might actually be an upgrade over former No. 2, Charlie Whitehurst.
