In Week 1 at Tennessee, Edmonds (12 carries, four catches) and James Conner (16 rushes) earned the same number of touches, but the former doubled up the latter, 106-53, in total yards. One week later, Edmonds out-touched Conner, 13-8, and had 49 more yards from scrimmage (75 versus 26). If the preceding has revealed anything, Edmonds has a better chance than Conner to be utilized on a weekly basis and has been far more efficient with those looks. In any case, it's clear Edmonds is in a split backfield, which likely will inhibit his output certain weeks.
