Chargers placed SS Brandon Taylor (ACL surgery) on active/PUP. Taylor tore the ACL in December and had the knee reconstructed in January. His return timetable is unknown. Marcus Gilchrist will open Chargers camp as the starting strong safety. Taylor was a 2012 third-round pick out of LSU.
