Carter (knee) was placed on season-ending injured reserve Saturday, Lindsay Jones of USA Today reports. Carter has been hampered by injury throughout his NFL career. After a promising rookie season, the fourth round draft pick essentially missed the entirety of the Broncos' next two seasons while recovering from microfracture knee surgery. Carter played in 11 of Denver's first 12 games this season, at which point his knee began to become an issue yet again. The Broncos needed to make some roster moves to free up spots for Danny Trevathan and Dominique Jones on the team's 53-man roster. Carter may have played his last snap as a Bronco.
