Funchess is coming off an impressive preseason showing, having secured six of eight targets for 70 yards while showing chemistry with Jordan Love (shoulder), but he now appears to have suffered a potentially worrying injury. The 27-year-old opted out of the 2020 season and was only able to suit up for one game in 2019 because of a broken collarbone. For the 2021 campaign, he's facing competition from the likes of Equanimeous St. Brown, Malik Tayor and Reggie Begelton for a roster spot.
