Cardinals sixth-round rookie David Carter has been installed as Dan Williams' backup as nose tackle. Carter is "just" 6'5/300, shaped more like a defensive end than a nose tackle. Perhaps that's why he slipped in the draft. The Cardinals sound excited about Carter's progress. "Just seems every time we have practice or any kind of situation, he shows up," coach Ken Whisenhunt said.
