Cam Newton completed 13-of-23 passes for 201 yards and a touchdown and added 37 yards and a second score on eight rushing attempts versus the Redskins in Week 9. Newton's mechanics have been spotty, and he put his entire body into at least a handful of throws on Sunday. When he threw effortlessly, however, he enjoyed plenty of success, finishing with a 100.1 passer rating and 8.7 YPA. He unleashed a 19-yard laser to Steve Smith for a score and found Armanti Edwards wide open for an 82-yard pass play. Newton's schedule opens up the rest of the way after facing a series of top-5 pass defenses in the past month. Heading into a Week 10 bout with the Broncos, Newton is on pace to go 268-of-470 (57.0 percent) for 3804 yards (8.1 YPA) and a 12:16 TD-to-INT ratio while adding 694 rushing yards and eight more scores.

Well, none of those players are clearly superior to Newton, but you got quantity.

If he was able to dump the slumping Newton and get two guys who put up decent numbers I'd do it to. No one wanted him in my league I couldn't give him away.
