Bucs released QB Josh Freeman.
The Bucs predictably couldn't find a trade partner after napalming what little value their former starting quarterback had. Freeman has roughly $6.25 million remaining on his 2013 salary, which the Bucs must pay in full. Freeman's play had sunk to extreme lows before his benching - a 45.7 completion percentage, 6.07 YPA, 59.3 QB rating - but he's shown enough throughout his inconsistent career to earn a second chance in relatively short order, likely some time over the next 72 hours. Aside from the usual suspects like Jacksonville and Cleveland - who may not even want to try to upgrade at quarterback as they jockey for draft position - Minnesota, Tennessee, Oakland and the Jets are all possible landing spots. Cincinnati and Arizona could be dark-horse candidates. Wherever Freeman lands, he's highly unlikely to be installed as the immediate starter.

Hoyer can be the solution at QB for them if they don't give away all the receivers.
