Browns owner Jimmy Haslam gave embattled WR Josh Gordon a vote of confidence on Monday. Unlike the Jaguars with Justin Blackmon, the Browns aren't ready to throw in the towel on their troubled No. 1 receiver. "Josh is learning and growing and improving as a person,'' Haslam said. "All of us have made mistakes when we were that age. We're counting on Josh being a good football player for the Browns for a long time to come." Haslam went on to call Gordon a "core" player. Still only 23, Gordon is believed to be facing an 8-16 game ban.
