Brandon Jacobs rushed 11 times for 37 yards and lost a fumble in Sunday's Week 5 loss to the Eagles.
Jacobs was rotating in behind David Wilson early on. Then Wilson hurt his neck and Jacobs was forced to play every snap, completely crippling the Giants offense. The 31-year-old "power" back's best runs come when he happens to fall forward, getting three yards. On the season, Jacobs has rushed 22 times for 48 yards (2.18 YPC) and scored one touchdown. Wilson is expected back for Week 6, meaning no one needs to think about adding Jacobs.
How is it his "best runs" are when he happens to fall forward for a mere 3 yards but he had a 3.4 ypc average? Power backs average less yards per carry anyway... Mark Ingram for instance.
