Brandon Jacobs (knee) and Ted Ginn (ankle) were both held out of 49ers practice Wednesday. It bodes poorly for their Week 1 status, but neither Jacobs nor Ginn necessarily needs an entire week of practice to suit up on a Sunday. Both players should be considered doubtful until further notice, however.
