Bell is signing with the Bears on Tuesday, GQ's Rand Getlin reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Jeremy Langford (ankle) facing an extended absence and Ka'Deem Carey (hamstring) potentially also unavailable, the Bears will turn to a player who is familiar to NFC North fans. Bell spent the first four years of his career with Detroit, serving as the team's lead back for much of 2013 and 2014, though he mostly worked in a part-time role in 2012 and 2015. Given Chicago's injury woes, Bell could have an immediate role in the backfield, though he's unlikely to leapfrog rookie Jordan Howard. This isn't too much of a concern for the rookie's owners, as Bell is 30 years old and will have to learn a new playbook.
