Bears released RB Michael Bush. Bush is getting the heave-ho just two years into a four-year deal. The move frees up $1.85 million in cap space, but leaves behind $2 million in dead money. Signed as a short-yardage specialist, Bush was a bust from the start, and finishes his Bears career with just eight touchdowns across 177 carries. He averaged a miserable 3.1 yards per carry in 2013. Three months shy of his 30th birthday, Bush is unlikely to draw much interest in the first wave of free agency.
