The Cardinals activated Edmonds (ankle) from injured reserve Saturday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

Arizona designated Edmonds for return prior to a Week 14 matchup with the Rams but ultimately didn't bring him back to the active roster. Now, after the fourth-year pro has a week of on-field reps under his belt, including running routes at Friday's session, he'll rejoin James Conner (ankle) at the top of the backfield pecking order. The Cardinals may not place a heavy burden on Edmonds off the bat, but Conner likely will yield at least a handful of the 20.8 touches per game he handled during the former's four-game absence.
