Anderson wrapped up the 2014 season with 701 passing yards, five touchdowns and zero interceptions in six games played, including two starts. Anderson was promoted to starter on two occasions this season when franchise quarterback Cam Newton was injured. In doing so, the former Pro Bowler Anderson performed quite admirably, leading the Panthers to a pair of wins while combining for over 500 passing yards to go with three touchdowns. The veteran's remaining production came during the waning stages of other contests, which more closely coincides with the backup role he figures to continue in next season with the Panthers.
