Eberle (undisclosed) was restored to Houston's practice squad from the practice squad COVID-19 list and subsequently released, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.

Eberle filled in as the Texans' kicker in Week 16 and went 2-for-3 on field goals and 5-for-5 on PATs, and he landed on the COVID list a couple days later. Regular kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn is now healthy. so Eberle has been let go after clearing the league's virus protocols.
