According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Eagles would prefer to use Mike Kafka as a third-string quarterback for one more season. The Inquirer places acquiring a backup QB fairly high on the Eagles' post-lockout agenda, in large part because Kafka isn't ready for the promotion. He certainly didn't appear to be in his rookie year preseason. Tarvaris Jackson and Vince Young are impending free agents that may intrigue Philadelphia.
