Does he have a choice? Sounds like it is either retire or just sit because it doesn't sound like there has been any interest in him at all. I think he would be better off just retiring, instead of playing for the league minimum. I doubt he would make much more than that.
the league minimum is way more than I make. It is also way more than retirement from the NFL makes. if football is all he knows then maybe it is the life structure that football provides that he and others are afraid to let go of.
