According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Gordon could be suspended for a year for failing a test for alcohol.
We'll await further details, but if the report of a potential suspension -- which is echoed by ESPN's Adam Schefter -- is confirmed, this latest news will further cloud the future of the Browns' talented wideout. Gordon -- who caught 24 passes for 303 yards in five games this past season -- served a 10-game suspension to start the 2014 campaign and was subsequently suspended by the Browns in Week 17 for a violation of team rules.
Really?! How do you fail a test for alcohol?! If it was a field sobriety test I get it but this report makes it seem like it was a mandatory test that the NFL administered. How hard is it to just NOT BE DRUNK before your test? If this is really the case think it's time people stop making excuses and actually help Flash b/c it seems like he has a serious substance abuse problem.

I don't understand how failing a drug test for a legal substance is warrant for a year suspension?

It was a banned substance for him following his DUI.
