According to coach Jim Harbaugh, Brandon Jacobs (knee) didn't make his 2012 debut Sunday because he's "still not quite there." Jacobs got in a slate of full practices last week, so the issue might be more that the 49ers don't really have a place for him in the game-plan with Kendall Hunter running well behind Frank Gore. Jacobs will likely make his 2012 debut against the Giants on Sunday, but unless he's installed as the exclusive goal-line back, he should remain well off the fantasy radar.
