49ers placed RB Marcus Lattimore (knee surgeries) on the reserve/PUP list. In Lattimore and Mario Manningham (PUP, knee surgery), the 49ers will have two options to activate for in-season depth. Most signs still point to Lattimore spending the entire year on reserve/PUP, but we wouldn't rule him out just yet. The Niners' minds could change if Lattimore progresses as scheduled and one of their current top-three running backs suffers an early-season injury.
