With the Jets reeling after having a pick-six erased by a penalty, Zuerlein had a chance to stem the bleeding with a game-tying 45-yard field goal, but he instead added to the Patriots' momentum by missing. That miss overshadowed Zuerlein's successful 28-yard field goal in the first quarter. He has missed three field goals and one PAT through eight games for New York.

Zuerlein connected on all three of his field-goal attempts and made his only PAT try in Sunday's 16-9 win over the Broncos.

With a long of 45 yards, Zuerlein didn't need any help from the altitude in Denver, but he did well to navigate windy conditions better than the Broncos' Brandon McManus, who missed a field goal and a PAT. All told, Zuerlein has made all but two of his 15 field-goal attempts and 16 of 17 PAT attempts for the 5-2 Jets.

Zuerlein made two of three field-goal attempts and all three of his PAT attempts in Sunday's 27-10 win over the Packers.

EDGE Analysis

Zuerlein sandwiched a miss from 53 yards out between makes from 32 and 23 in rainy conditions at Lambeau Field. Considering the Packers had a field goal blocked and each team blocked or deflected a punt, Zuerlein's ability to reliably make chip shots proved crucial in the Jets' well-rounded win.

Zuerlein made his only field-goal attempt from 34 yards out and all five of his PAT tries in Sunday's 40-17 win over the Dolphins.

EDGE Analysis

The Jets only settled for one field goal as Miami struggled to stop the run in close, allowing five rushing touchdowns to New York. Since starting quarterback Zach Wilson returned from a preseason knee injury, New York has gone 2-0 while scoring 32.0 points per game. Zuerlein has made both his field-goal attempts and eight PATs over that span.

Zuerlein made his only field-goal attempt and all three of his PAT attempts in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Steelers.

EDGE Analysis

Zuerlein has made all six of his field-goal attempts and all seven PAT tries over the past three games following a rocky Jets debut in which he missed one of each. New York continued to move the ball reasonably well in quarterback Zach Wilson's (knee) season debut, so fantasy managers who had been relying on Zuerlein with Joe Flacco leading New York's offense should feel comfortable continuing to do so with Wilson under center.

Zuerlein made all four of his field-goal attempts in Sunday's 27-12 loss to Cincinnati.

EDGE Analysis

New York moved the ball well but couldn't get into the end zone, settling for field goals of 50, 40, 52 and 43 yards. If Zuerlein can continue to convert reliably from 50-plus yards, he should have some sneaky fantasy value on a Jets offense with enough playmakers to get into scoring range.

Zuerlein made his only field-goal attempt from 57 yards and converted all four of his PAT tries in Sunday's 31-30 win over Cleveland.

EDGE Analysis

A questionable holding penalty on the final play of the third quarter backed the Jets up to the edge of field-goal range, but Zuerlein hit the game-tying field goal from 57 yards in the first minute of the fourth. He also made every PAT, which proved crucial in a game the Jets won by one point thanks in part to a missed Browns PAT. After a shaky New York debut, Zuerlein earned himself some more job security with this outing.

After the Ravens took a 3-0 lead in the first quarter, Zuerlein had a chance to tie the game early in the second from 45 yards out. He missed it, and the Jets never recovered. Zuerlein later connected from the same distance just before halftime but failed to convert a PAT in the fourth quarter to add to his inauspicious debut. While he probably won't be on the hot seat after just one week, Zuerlein's job security is quickly diminishing.

Zuerlein made his only field-goal attempt from 49 yards and converted all four of his PAT attempts in Sunday's 31-27 preseason win over the Giants.

EDGE Analysis

Zuerlein showed off the mix of accuracy and power that helped him beat out Eddy Pineiro in New York's training camp kicking competition. The veteran kicker could be busy in 2022 on a Jets offense with enough weapons to move the ball but a lack of established red-zone producers to finish off drives.

EDGE Analysis

Zuerlein was the favorite and ultimately wins the job. He still has a strong leg, but the volume he saw in past seasons with the Rams and Cowboys may be a thing of the past. Count Zuerlein among the many whose value depends on improvement from second-year quarterback Zach Wilson, who likely will miss the start of the season after having meniscus surgery in mid-August.
