Baldwin (foot) is not expected to play in Sunday's preseason game against the Chargers, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Baldwin was recently diagnosed with an upper foot strain, and while head coach Pete Carroll did say that the wide receiver would be healthy enough to play Sunday, it appears he'll elect to exercise caution with his top wideout. Expect the team to continue to take precautionary measures with Baldwin leading up to the start of the regular season.

Baldwin has been diagnosed with a strain in his upper foot, Sheil Kapadia of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Baldwin suffered the injury after landing hard at Thursday's practice. According to head coach Pete Carroll, Baldwin will be healthy enough to play in Sunday's preseason game against the Chargers, but caution will be exercised with his availability. As a result, the wideout likely won't press his luck with nothing on the line.

According to coach Pete Carroll, Baldwin (ankle) is "fine" following his departure from practice Thursday, Lindsey Wisniewski of USA Today reports.
EDGE Analysis
Baldwin was able to walk under his own power after going down with an apparent right ankle injury Thursday, so Carroll's update only furthers the sentiment that he avoided anything serious. While that comes as good news to the Seahawks and fantasy owners, it'd probably still be surprising if Baldwin plays in Sunday's preseason opener versus the Chargers.

Baldwin left Thursday's practice with an apparent ankle or lower leg issue, Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
On the plus side, the report notes that after staying down on the field for a minute or so after coming down hard, Baldwin walked around on his own steam before heading to the locker room with trainers. Until additional info is available, consider Seattle's top wideout day-to-day.

Baldwin said he plans to retire as a Seahawks, Sports Radio KJR's Kevin Shockey reports.
EDGE Analysis
Baldwin signed a four-year, $46 million extension last offseason, keeping him under contract in Seattle at a reasonable price through 2020. The structure of the deal allows the team to re-evaluate on a year to year basis after 2017, but there's little reason to think he'll be in danger anytime soon, as his last two seasons were easily the two best of his career. He'll celebrate his 29th birthday in September and is locked in as Russell Wilson's favorite target for what should be the prime of both players' careers.

Baldwin secured five of nine targets for 80 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 36-20 divisional-round loss to the Falcons.
EDGE Analysis
Baldwin notched the final touchdown of the Seahawks' 2016 campaign with a 31-yard scoring reception in the fourth quarter. Otherwise, it was a fairly ordinary outing for the sixth-year pro, who recorded four catches for 49 yards in addition to the touchdown. Russell Wilson completed only 17 passes overall on the afternoon, and Baldwin did see the most targets from him by far. The sixth-year pro posted a career high in receptions (94), targets (126) and yards (1,128) in 2016, but managed only half of the career-high 14 scores he'd tallied the season prior.

Baldwin secured 11 of 12 targets for 104 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 26-6 wild-card win over the Lions. He also gained six yards on one rush.
EDGE Analysis
Russell Wilson's favorite target came through in impressive fashion to open the postseason, notching team highs in receptions, targets and yardage. Baldwin had two particularly noteworthy catches, both on the Seahawks' final drive. The first was a nifty third-down grab with 4:18 remaining in which Baldwin trapped the pass against and around his body, preventing it from hitting the ground. The play was originally ruled incomplete, but Seattle won its instant replay appeal, extending the drive. The six-year veteran then closed out the possession by essentially swiping a would-be touchdown from teammate Jermaine Kearse, as he plucked Rusell Wilson's throw out of the air while trailing Kearse on a seam route. Baldwin would do well to bring his A-game again for what could be a high-scoring affair against the Falcons in next Saturday's divisional playoff showdown.

Baldwin nabbed two of four targets for 44 yards in Sunday's win over San Francisco.
EDGE Analysis
Baldwin did the bulk of his damage on a 41-yard go late in the first half that helped set up the Seahawks' go-ahead score. The speedster failed to live up to his incredible scoring pace from late last season, but still set career marks in catches, targets and yards in 2016 while maintaining his typical chunk-play ability. He should get a favorable match up in the playoffs against either Detroit's middle-of-the-road pass defense or a Green Bay team that has been torched at points this season.

Baldwin set career highs with 13 receptions on 19 targets for 171 yards and a touchdown Saturday in a loss to the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Baldwin got eight more targets than his previous career high. After Tyler Lockett left with an injury, 14 of Russell Wilson's 32 attempts went to Baldwin. Lockett is out for the season. Jermaine Kearse and Paul Richardson figure to be more involved, but Baldwin should continue to get a heavy workload in Week 17 and the playoffs. Baldwin has 92 receptions this year, three from setting the franchise record. He is 203 yards from surpassing Steve Largent's mark for receiving yardage at 1,287 in 1985.

Baldwin secured five of six targets for 35 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 24-3 win over the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Baldwin grabbed a one-yard touchdown in the third quarter, his first score since Week 10 against the Patriots. He was notably behind in targets to Tyler Lockett on the night, as the latter has taken on an increasingly more prominent role in the offense the last several weeks. However, Baldwin remains a pivotal cog himself, particularly in the short-to-intermediate passing game. He has notably worked near the line of scrimmage very frequently the last several weeks, as he's averaged under 10 yards per reception in four straight games, and five of the last six. He has a tough task ahead of him in Week 16, when he'll do battle against Patrick Peterson and the rest of the Cardinals secondary.
