Foreman (neck) is back with the Browns on Friday but isn't practicing, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
The team sent Foreman to a hospital in a helicopter Thursday after a hard hit in practice left him with neck pain. X-rays and CT scans didn't show any major damage, so the running back likely will get back on the field at some point during training camp to continue competing for snaps with Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong. Fellow Browns running backs Nick Chubb (knee) and Nyheim Hines (knee) haven't yet practiced this summer after suffering ACL tears last year.

Foreman was helicoptered to a medical facility Thursday morning after he sustained a direct blow to the head that resulted in neck pain during a training camp practice, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Browns released a statement noting that "the (team's) athletic training staff deployed their standard emergency action procedures to immobilize Foreman. He was taken to an ambulance and is being transported via helicopter to a Medical Center in Roanoke, VA to undergo further medical evaluation. Foreman had movement in all his extremities. Updates will be provided as more information is received." Foreman, who spent last season with the Bears, signed a one-year deal with the Browns in March.

Foreman was immobilized and carted off the field after suffering an injury at practice Thursday, Daryl Ruiter of 923 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Foreman reportedly grabbed at his neck after going down in practice, and while he was able to move around afterward, the Browns' medical staff wisely took the cautious step of immobilizing him on a stretcher. Foreman now figures to be evaluated for potential spinal or neck issues.

The Browns and Foreman agreed to a contract Wednesday, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After an injury-riddled start to his career, Foreman has carved at a role in three different backfields over the last three campaigns, averaging 54.4 rushing yards per game and racking up 12 touchdowns on the ground in 35 appearances between the Titans, Panthers and Bears. With his new team, he could get in the act early on if Nick Chubb's recovery from a serious knee injury delays his 2024 season debut, but Jerome Ford likely still would be the team's top back in that scenario.

Foreman (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
Foreman will thus close out his first Bears campaign as a healthy scratch on consecutive weeks and having missed the last three games overall since he also sat out Week 16 due to a personal issue. Foreman's absence Sunday tees up Khalil Herbert to once again serve as the top option in the ground attack, while rookie Roschon Johnson should fill his usual complementary role.

Foreman (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Falcons.
EDGE Analysis
Foreman was inactive for last week's win over Arizona due to personal reasons and will be in street clothes again Sunday while Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson split backfield duties. With Herbert and Johnson banged up earlier in the season, Foreman had a strong stretch from Weeks 6-10, totaling 81 rushing attempts for 351 yards and three scores while securing seven catches for 47 yards and an additional score. Barring an injury to Herbert and/or Johnson, it'd be surprising to see Foreman available for Chicago's regular-season finale in Green Bay next week.

Foreman (personal) was a full practice participant Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Foreman missed this past Sunday's win over the Cardinals due to a personal matter, which allowed Khalil Herbert to dominate the Bears backfield to the tune of 21 touches for 121 yards from scrimmage and one rushing touchdown on a 51 percent snap share. Meanwhile, rookie Roschon Johnson had 12 touches for 53 total yards on 46 percent of the snaps. With Foreman back in the saddle Wednesday with no practice limitations, his presence may throw a wrench into the breakdown of reps between the trio Sunday against the Falcons.

Foreman (personal) is listed as inactive Sunday against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Foreman made a mid-week appearance on the Bears' Week 16 practice report Thursday as a non-participant due to a personal matter. He then returned to drills one day later as limited but still entered the weekend as questionable for Sunday's contest. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Sunday morning that Foreman wasn't in line to play, and that has come to fruition. With Foreman out, Chicago's backfield will be manned by the combo of Roschon Johnson and Khalil Herbert.

Foreman (personal), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, isn't expected to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Foreman returned to practice as a limited participant after missing Thursday's session due to a personal matter, but despite not being listed with any health-related issue, the veteran running back isn't expected to suit up against Arizona. His expected absence provides a clearer path to Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson to dominate Chicago's backfield opportunities. Official word on Foreman's status will arrive with the release of the Bears' inactive list 90 minutes ahead of Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.
