Lewis registered 23 rushing yards on three carries, losing one fumble during Thursday's 22-21 loss to the Eagles.
EDGE Analysis
On his first carry of the night with 53 seconds to go in the first half, Lewis fumbled the ball into the waiting arms of Eagles safety Rodney McLeod. Thankfully for the Giants, Jake Elliott's 29-yard field-goal try was no good on the subsequent drive, lessening the impact of Lewis' first 2020 fumble. His offensive role remains peripheral, as the 30-year-old back has just five combined carries over his past five outings. If Devonta Freeman (ankle) were to be unavailable next Monday night against Tampa Bay, Lewis would be in line for his most significant workload since garnering 14 touches during a Week 2 loss to Chicago.

Lewis hauled in his lone target for 10 yards in Sunday's 20-19 win over Washington.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis played just nine offensive snaps and didn't receive a carry in Sunday's win. He's been fully pushed out of the rotation by Devonta Freeman, who rushed 18 times for 61 yards and played 73 percent of the team's offense snaps.

Lewis caught two of his four targets for one yards Sunday against the Cowboys.
EDGE Analysis
He's backing up Devonta Freeman, mostly seeing work on passing downs. It's a low-ceiling role, and he's a low-ceiling player at this stage.

Lewis had only one carry for 10 yards and two catches on three targets for eight yards against the Rams Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis saw 21 total offensive snaps, but ceded most of the touches to Wayne Gallman and Devonta Freeman. Lewis will stay in the mix, but his ceiling is non-existent.

Lewis had just one carry for no yards and caught one of his three targets for 10 yards against the 49ers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The Giants have arguably the worst running game in the league, and Lewis is sharing snaps/carries/catches with Wayne Gallman and Devonta Freeman. Lewis led the committee in snaps with 20, but even if he were to get more run this week in Los Angeles against the Rams, the ceiling is pretty low.

Lewis is facing competition in the backfield from Devonta Freeman, who signed a one-year contract with the Giants on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis finished this past Sunday's loss to the 49ers as the lead running back after Saquon Barkley exited with a torn ACL, but the Giants opted to bring in reinforcements from free agency. Freeman inked a $3 million deal Tuesday and could eventually lead the backfield in touches, although the Giants may utilize a committee approach at first to ease him in.

Lewis rushed 10 times for 20 yards and a touchdown and caught four of five targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 17-13 loss to the Bears.
EDGE Analysis
Starting RB Saquon Barkley went down in the first half, and the Giants fear he may have torn his ACL. That left Lewis as the team's only healthy RB, so he handled a decent workload the rest of the way. While he wasn't very efficient on the ground, Lewis is better known as a pass-catcher, and he excelled in that area Sunday. Moving forward, if Barkley is indeed out for the season, Lewis will be the de facto RB1, although the team may check out the free-agent market as well.

Lewis picked up one yard on his lone rush attempt during Monday's 26-16 loss to Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
The Giants could get absolutely nothing going on the ground, as the Steelers' front five contained the G-Men to a putrid 29 team rushing yards on 20 attempts. Saquon Barkley predictably dominated the workload by garnering 21 of 23 running back touches for New York, while Lewis and fellow backup Wayne Gallman scarcely saw the field. Lewis ended up with six offensive snaps in total Week 1, but he will now shift his focus to an upcoming Sunday afternoon matchup against the Bears.

Lewis is projected to serve as the Giants' top backup to starting running back Saquon Barkley on passing downs, Zack Rosenblatt of NJ.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Should anything happen to Barkley, Wayne Gallman would also likely see work, factoring in mainly on running downs. As a result, there's limited fantasy upside for Lewis, even compared to most other backup running backs around the NFL.

Lewis agreed to a one-year deal with the Giants on Monday, Josina Anderson of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis was one of the top running backs available on the market at this stage of free agency and will now head to a spot where he could potentially be the No. 2 running back. Saquon Barkley is the unquestioned starter who can play all three downs, but Lewis' pass-catching ability should get him some work in obvious passing situations. Lewis' main competition will be Wayne Gallman and Jon Hilliman once he reports to the Giants.
